We are currently seeking a skilled Water Utilities Operations Lead to join our team in Meridian, MS. If you have experience in water / wastewater treatment operations and a Plant Operator license, we invite you to apply.
Responsibilities
Plant Operations : Oversee the day-to-day operations of the water treatment plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimal efficiency.
Process Monitoring : Monitor and adjust water treatment processes, including chemical dosing, filtration, and disinfection, to maintain water quality within specified parameters.
Equipment Maintenance : Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of plant equipment, including pumps, valves, and instrumentation, to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Data Recording : Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including water quality data, equipment performance, and maintenance activities.
Emergency Response : Respond to and manage emergency situations, such as equipment failures or water quality issues, implementing corrective actions promptly.
Qualifications
License : Class 3 or 4 Water and Wastewater Operator licenses issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Additional coursework or training in water treatment is preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience as a water / wastewater plant operator, as well as experience leading a team.
Technical Skills :
Communication Skills : Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, report on plant operations, and interact with regulatory agencies.
