In this role, you will have the opportunity and responsibility to protect the safety and well-being of persons and property at the Aurora site. Hourly Rate : $25-27 (Range may vary in markets outside of Colorado)
A Day in the Life of a Security Officer :
At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotion and spend time praying for each other, our staff, and volunteers who serve around the globe.
In the role of Security Officer, you will have the opportunity to :
Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for HimConduct yourself as a security professional at all times, creating an atmosphere to deter undesirable activityGreet all staff and visitors whenever practical to maintain a consistent visible presenceScreen pedestrian and vehicular traffic for authorization to enter the premisesOperate various equipment, such as card access, fire and burglar alarms, video cameras, and ministry vehiclesReport hazardous conditions and follow all call-in procedures in case of emergencyIdentify threatening individuals and alert local law enforcementBe familiar with all Samaritans Purse facilities, policies, procedures, and regulations that affect the safety and security of all occupantsMonitor activity across campus through regular physical patrols and the use of video surveillanceControl access to campus during non-business hours; open / close and secure all buildings as scheduledDocument all noteworthy activity in the shift log or appropriate incident reportBasic Law Enforcement Training and minimum 3 years experience as Law Enforcement Officer or equivalent, requiredMust be eligible to complete and pass any required training and certificationsBasic keyboarding and computer skills, strongly preferredMotivated self-starter; sees a need and takes initiativeTrustworthy and maturePatient when tasks are routine, but quick on their feet to respond to a crisisFluency in English, requiredJob Location : Aurora, CO
