• Work 8-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM depending on shift scheduled
• Monday through Friday schedule with occasional Saturday possible
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Average 20-22 screening procedures per day
• Work with Hologic 3D mammography equipment
• Use EPIC electronic medical records system
• Required certifications : BLS from AHA only, Radiology (M) (T)
• Must have 1 year mammo tech experience in a hospital setting
• 2 years of breast experience preferred
• Dress code requires black scrubs
• Perform quality mammograms including routine, diagnostic, magnification, and needle localization views
• Assist physicians with stereotactic biopsies
• Work with 1-2 sono techs and 6 mammo techs during day shifts
• Communicate effectively with patients and breast radiologists via phone / televideo
• Participate in mammography quality control activities
• Must be compassionate, caring, and have excellent verbal communication skills
• No call requirements
