The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and improving technical documents, research papers, articles, and other content related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The role will involve ensuring clarity, accuracy, and coherence in written materials, adhering to specific style guides, and facilitating clear communication of complex technical information. Editor will provide the clarity, coherence, and quality of research documents, adhering to academic and publication standards. The editor will work closely with faculty in matters concerning style and format to ensure consistency and quality of written materials to be submitted for courses and publications in print or online. This position is essential in the support in the development, editing, and publication of research documents.
Responsibilities :
Review and edit technical documents for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to style guidelines.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the technical accuracy of content.
Apply appropriate formatting and style guidelines (e.g., APA, IEEE, Chicago) to documents.
Assist in the development and structuring of technical content for clarity and readability.
Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of edited materials.
Conduct final reviews of documents to ensure they meet quality standards before publication.
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including scientists, engineers, and IT professionals.
Stay current with best practices in graduate education and student services.
