Job Summary

UNPHC is Utah's largest non-profit developer, owner, and manager of affordable housing for very low to low income individuals and families. UNPHC is both a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). UNPHC is an equal opportunity employer.

This is a full-time non-exempt position that reports to the Regional Property Manager. It is important to UNPHC that their properties be maintained in a safe and attractive manner. Maintenance personnel must be constantly aware of the condition of the physical properties, and immediately correct unsafe conditions, e.g., broken gates, broken steps, open holes, broken / burned out exterior lights, as well as unsightly or unsanitary conditions, e.g., trash, broken glass, etc. Maintenance personnel will from time to time be on call to respond to emergencies.

Q ualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, trade school, or equivalent experience required.
• A valid Utah driver's license is required, as is the use of a personal vehicle with liability insurance.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Thorough experience with hand tools and power tools of all kinds. Experience working with the general public, vendors, and clients.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the maintenance of multi-unit rental property.
• HVAC and other certifications are not required but are encouraged.
