STIIIZY Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager oversees and manages the companys accounting operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient financial processes. This role involves guiding a team of accounting professionals, managing month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data to support decision-making. The Accounting Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, improve internal controls, and optimize accounting systems. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial management.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other applicable laws.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to support organizational goals.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing training, feedback, and performance evaluations to foster growth and development.
• Partner with auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure successful audits and compliance reviews.
• Drive the implementation and optimization of accounting systems, software, and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support business decisions and long-term planning.
• Supervises and motivates direct reporting staff by assigning duties to each employee, explaining how these duties are to be done and communicating how the successful performance of those duties will be measured.
• Monitors and corrects performance issues in real time and appropriately documents issues and corrective actions.
• Leads and directs the work of other employees and has authority for personnel decisions. Manages strategic hiring, people scheduling, performance management, corrective actions, and separations.
• Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by leadership.?
