ID : 72802682 Shift : 12H Nights Nights, EOW, first to float Description : Unit Notes : - Unit : MedSurg / Telemetry - # beds : 30- Certs : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS-Must be able to read and interpret strips- prefers basic arrhythmia course certification- Ratios : 5 : 1- EMR : Cerner power chart- Charge Nurse : Yes-doesn t typically take patients- Nurse Aides : Yes unless pulled for sitters, 1 : 8-1 : 36 ratio depending on staffing- Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend- Holidays : Will rotate into perm staff rotation-expected to work holidays- Scrub Color : RN- blue, NA- Green- Tele : None on this unit- required to read strips for when floated to tele- Nurse's Read Strips : Yes- will float to tele floor- must be able to read and interpret strips- Drips : None- Vents : Bipap and CPAP- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : Yes- Sound physician hospitalist- IV Team : None- RT 24 / 7 : Yes- Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes, 24 / 7- Shifts : 0645-1915 / 1845-0715- Floating : Yes to -must be able to float to tele / read interpret strips- Floor specific orientation : 1 hr of orientation to show where stuff is- will not get a day of orientation on MS, will get a day of tele orientation- the h highest level of care the nurse will work in- Common diagnosis / Types of patients : ESRD, DM, COPD, ETOH Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Level : Care Shift , EOW, first to float Required , BLS, NIHSS Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract Weeks : 91
