Licensed Practical Nurse - Pulmonary Office

Join our dedicated team at the Pulmonary & Critical Care outpatient practice, where we deliver exceptional care to our patients! We are currently seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to enhance our practice. This position offers a rewarding opportunity in a supportive environment, working Monday through Friday in Albany, NY.

As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in patient care under the guidance of our attending physician, RN, Lead LPN, or practice coordinator. You will be responsible for various clinical functions that directly support our healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities :

Accurately obtain and record patients' vital signs.

Document detailed aspects of each patient's history.

Engage in clear communication with patients, visitors, and colleagues.

Assist in office procedures supervised by licensed healthcare professionals.

Perform CLIA waived diagnostic testing.

Conduct venipuncture for blood collection.

Follow up on prescription inquiries as per your practice scope.

Prepare patient charts with pertinent clinical information.

Maintain and organize inventory of medical supplies, ensuring examination rooms are thoroughly stocked.

Comply with Albany Medical Center's regulatory standards.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma / G.E.D. is required.

Experience in a patient care setting is preferred.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Able to effectively present information and answer queries from patients and their families.

Current State Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse is required.

Physical Demands :

• Standing and walking are constant.
• Sitting is rarely required.
• Lifting and carrying are frequently necessary.
• Requires frequent reaching, handling, and grasping.
• Excellent eye / hand / foot coordination is essential.
