Job Description

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students for a full semester. This position plays a vital role in facilitating effective munication for hearing-impaired students within an educational setting.

Location : Arvada, CO

Duration : Full Semester (Contract)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation in classroom and school-related activities.
  • Facilitate munication between students, teachers, and staff to ensure full participation of hearing-impaired students in educational programs.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of munication strategies tailored to student needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ply with school policies and ethical standards related to interpretation services.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to provide an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications :

  • Proficiency in sign language interpretation, preferably with certification or formal training.
  • Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and munication skills bined with the ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and families.
  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning environments and student needs.
