Our client, an apparel-related business, is seeking a QA Director for a regional leadership role based in Miami to oversee all Quality and Compliance activity of factories in Latin America. Will lead, coach, and develop the team to provide world class service to clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Will bring excellent technical experience in garment construction, risk assessment, sampling, fitting, and pattern checking across multiple product categories along with leadership skills to lead a growing team of quality professionals ensuring consistent delivery of quality products to customers. Candidates MUST be from the apparel industry.
- The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $135,000.
Responsibilities :
Work closely with Global and regional teams to advance and share knowledge and best practice and ensure consistent execution in the region.Be the regional 'go-to leader' for all things related to Quality and Compliance.Act as a regional leader to take charge of the delivery of on-time sample fitting, construction review, issue resolution, and sample delivery.Lead and coach the team to drive sample and bulk quality performance proactively with vendors, providing an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and delivering customer expectations.Manage the team's workload and budgets, ensuring delivery of objectives.Lead and drive continuous improvement projects / vendor training and development.Build relationships internally with Global QA, Operations, and Merchandising teams and externally with clients and vendors, building trust based on expertise and delivery of objectives.Recruit and train new high-caliber team members.Manage the company's and customers' social compliance requirements with vendors.Understand and oversee all testing requirements.Qualifications :
Diploma or above in Textile / Clothing or related disciplineAt least 15 years of solid experience in woven / knit items for both women's and men's wearExcellent knowledge in garment sewing construction, pattern making, grading, and fit adjustmentAbility to demonstrate significant experience developing complex, multi-category quality strategies and implementing them within the factory baseStrong leadership ability to lead and coach the team to ensure prompt and timely deliverablesExcellent communication skills and comfort communicating at all levels with internal and external stakeholdersStrong ability to influence based on experience and knowledgeGood command of both written and spoken English and SpanishProficiency in MS Office and PLM systemsAbility to work under pressure to meet tight deadlinesTravel is required within region and occasional travel to customersIf you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
