GVEA is an electric cooperative which maintains 3,292 miles of transmission and distribution lines, 40 substations, and 9 generating facilities. As a Member Services Representative I- Frontline at Golden Valley Electric Association, you will provide exceptional customer support as the primary point of contact for our valued membership. Your role will involve assisting members with account creation, payments, and understanding their energy usage, while also offering comprehensive knowledge of the cooperative's services. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver's license, ensuring you can navigate our service area effectively. You should have at least two years of experience in a direct customer service role within the service industry, which has equipped you with the interpersonal skills to handle diverse member inquiries compassionately and efficiently. Additionally, a minimum of one year of cash handling experience is essential, as you will be processing payments and managing transactions accurately. Strong oral and written communication skills are vital, enabling you to convey information clearly and build rapport with members. Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Two years' experience working in a direct customer service related capacity in a service industry.
• At least one year of cash handling experience.
