An exceptional leadership opportunity for a strategic and experienced pharmacy executive to oversee pharmaceutical services across a regional healthcare division. The Vice President of Pharmacy Services plays a vital role in driving clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization across multiple acute care facilities. Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight of pharmacy operations, clinical services, and expense management across multiple hospitals.
- Lead strategic planning and implementation of division-wide pharmacy initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop, monitor, and optimize pharmacy business processes to enhance quality, compliance, and financial performance.
- Collaborate with corporate and facility leaders to improve purchasing efficiency and medication management outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards for all pharmacy departments under scope.
- Build and strengthen relationships with clinical and operational leadership to advance patient care and staff development.
- Monitor and analyze pharmacy performance metrics, budget adherence, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Serve as subject-matter expert in pharmaceutical services, providing guidance on regulatory preparedness and clinical decision support.
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in PharmacyActive and unencumbered Pharmacist License (must obtain Virginia licensure within 6 months of hire)Proven experience overseeing multi-facility pharmacy operations in an acute care settingStrong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence across corporate and facility levelsPreferred :
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Master of Science (MS), or Master of Business Administration (MBA)Experience leading cost-containment and formulary management programs within a large healthcare systemDemonstrated success implementing enterprise-level pharmacy initiatives or service-line integration projectsCompensation & Benefits
