Assignment Type : Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Location : Salem, MA 01970 (North Shore, Massachusetts)

Healthcare Setting : Emergency Department (65 beds, 230 visits / day)

Start Date : September 7, 2025

End Date : December 6, 2025

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Hours per Week : 36

Shift : 12-hour nights (night position does not rotate; day shifts may require rotation)

Patient Ratio : 1 : 4

EMR System : EPIC ASAP

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1880 - $2020

ER RN Job Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

NRP certification preferred

TNCC certification strongly preferred

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Proficient in assessment, documentation, IV therapy, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education

Completion of required health screenings and background checks prior to onboarding

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement evidence-based interventions

Accurately document patient care using EPIC ASAP EMR

Initiate and manage IVs, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and cardiac monitoring

Conduct point of care testing and apply splints as needed

Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Float to other units as required, including pediatric and acute mental health areas
