Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting with pelvic floor specialization and 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient physical therapy unit with a daily average census of 11 patients
  • Typical caseload is approximately 9 visits per day
  • Role specializes in pelvic floor therapy
  • Preferred experience with Hermann & Wallace pelvic floor courses
  • Day shift schedule working five 8-hour shifts from approximately 6 : 45 to 18 : 15
  • No on-call required
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Must live at least 65 miles from the facility to be considered
  • Responsibilities include providing pelvic floor therapy and managing a consistent daily patient caseload
  • May be assigned to an emergency team during hurricane season with potential requirement to remain onsite until storm passes or serve as relief
  • Five-day orientation is provided with required modules completed during orientation hours
  • Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency at this health system must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
  • Personal time off must be specified and discussed during interview to be honored

    • Requirements

  • Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Active LA state or compact PT license required; license must be in hand or candidate must apply within 72 hours of signing
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent outpatient PT experience required
  • References from two managers or supervisors will be required for clearance prior to starting contract
  • License required if applicable
