Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CVICU Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 24 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring open heart and heart recovery experience and an active AR or compact RN license. Responsibilities Work in a 17-bed Cardiovascular ICU / CSICU within a hospital setting Patient population includes neonates to geriatrics with a wide range of cardiovascular and vascular cases Care for patients undergoing CABG, thoracotomy, carotid stenting, valve repair or replacement, and various vascular interventions Utilization of advanced equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), induced hypothermia, ECMO, and the Impella Heart Pump Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00 Uses Cerner charting system; Cerner experience preferred Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted Provide direct care for assigned CVICU patients and offer leadership within the nursing team Collaborate within a professional, cohesive, and Magnet-recognized team environment Promote evidence-based care and use the nursing process for patient assessment and planning Travel experience is highly preferred This is a safety sensitive position under Arkansas law Clinicians must complete necessary lab items within 72 hours of offer acceptance or have a plan in place Requirements Active RN license in Arkansas or compact state required Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required, BSN preferred Current BLS and ACLS certifications required A minimum of two years of ICU nursing experience preferred Open heart and heart recovery experience required Ability to communicate effectively and basic computer proficiency Two professional supervisor references from the last three years required License in hand at time of consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625994.
