A growing year-round lakefront resort in Northern Minnesota is seeking a Resort General Manager to lead operations and drive ambitious expansion goals. With 25 rental cabins, 14 boats, and a small but growing bar & grill, this is a unique opportunity for a hospitality leader to take ownership of a thriving destination and help shape its future.
This search is for a hands-on operator with a strong food & beverage background , resort management expertise, and the ability to balance day-to-day operations with long-term development.
What You'll Do
- Oversee resort operations including lodging, F&B, recreation, and guest services
- Lead and mentor a seasonal team (4–6 year-round staff, 30+ summer employees)
- Expand the bar & grill program, scaling revenue beyond the current ~$50K annually
- Drive off-season growth opportunities to balance summer-heavy revenue streams
- Manage redevelopment projects, including cabin sales, remodeling, and HOA coordination
- Partner on future expansion initiatives (e.g., Nordic Spa project)
- Ensure financial stewardship, compliance, and guest satisfaction across all areas
Must-Have Experience
