Onboarding Associate
Our UPMC Corporate Human Resources team is hiring an Onboarding Associate to join our HRIS Department! This is a regular, full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. This position offers remote work flexibility after completing training at the US Steel Tower in downtown Pittsburgh. The Onboarding Associate is responsible for administering a variety of operational, recruitment, and employment related tasks in support of talent acquisition services and operations. This role has a focus on creating onboarding portals that ensure we're verifying the appropriate work, education, license and / or clearances for a pending hire and completing corresponding compliance related tasks that ensure the candidate successfully completes all onboarding requirements and is sufficiently qualified for the role. Additionally, the Onboarding Associate will monitor team service accounts and assist with regulatory audits. The ideal candidate displays excellent attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities include partnering with payroll to process all pay contracts, completing all adjudication components prior to a candidates targeted start date, ensuring process compliance in accordance with all federal, state, and local government regulations, maintaining an in-depth understanding of industry regulations and procedures, accurately submitting, tracking, and adjudicating background and reference checks, providing candidate updates to all appropriate team members, partnering with the HRIS Data Entry team to process and data enter all recruitment transactions, determining all onboarding requirements for candidates, and possessing attention to detail with skills in customer service. Proficiency in Microsoft products, Taleo, PeopleSoft, and other HRIS systems is preferred.
