Job description12 / 01 / 2025 - Open / Ongoing Patient Demographics : Adults Patient Volume / Census : 14,700 annual ED volume Admissions : Yes (as appropriate for ED) Rounding : Not Included Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : Emergency Medicine cases; Trauma Level IV acuity No. of Beds in Department : 14 ED beds Hospital Size : 101 total hospital beds Trauma Level : Level IV Trauma Center EMR System : T-System Office Equipment Available : Standard ED equipment; scrubs or professional attire Specialty Backup Available : Obstetrics / GYN; ENT; Pediatrics; Orthopedics; Internal Medicine; Radiology; Family Practice; Surgery; Ophthalmology; Urology; Anesthesiology; Hyperbaric Medicine; Pulmonology; Wound Care Support Staff Available : Experienced nursing staff; 12-hour scribe coverage Reason for Coverage : Staffing coverage Additional Facility Services : Aerospace; Ambulatory Surgery; Blood Bank; CT; Histology; Home Health; Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO); ICU; LDRP; Outpatient Services; Respiratory / Pulmonary Services; Ultrasound Scheduling : Shifts scheduled 4–6 weeks in advance Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : As determined by facility Credentialing Timeline : 24 days Documentation Required : State License; DEA; Board Certification; ACLS; ATLS; PALS; NRP; Education documentation; Driver's License photo; CMEs; Case logs Rate : TBD Travel, Lodging, Malpractice Insurance : Covered Licenses : Active Texas license required Board Certification : NP – ANCC or AANP; PA – NCCPA DEA : Active DEA required Certifications : ACLS, ATLS, PALS, NRP Experience : ED / ER experience preferred Other Qualifications : Competent with T-System documentation; ability to work 12-hour shifts and function independently in a Level IV ED Provide direct Emergency Department patient care within scope of practice Perform evaluations, treatments, and procedures appropriate to credentialing Participate in formal triage system and support ED workflow Coordinate patient care with specialty backup and hospital services Accurately document all patient encounters in T-System Collaborate with nursing staff and scribes to ensure efficient throughput
