Job Title : Welder & Fabricator - Repair

Job Description

Join a rail and tank car repair facility as a Welder / Fabricator. You will spend 20% of your time welding using MIG / Flux techniques and 80% fabricating and assembling. Your role will involve reading blueprints, cutting steel with an oxy-torch, fitting up, and tack welding. This position is ideal for someone looking to become officially certified in railcar repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding using MIG / Flux techniques 20% of the time.
• Engage in fabricating and assembling tasks 80% of the time.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Cut steel using an oxy-torch.
• Fit up and tack weld components.
• Weld in overhead positions.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm, with some Saturdays required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hockley, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 / hr.
