Job descriptionTakeoffs & Budgets : Detailed material / labor takeoffs; precise job-cost builds; VE alternates. Bids & Proposals : RFQs, quote leveling, scope / qualifiers / exclusions ; on-time submissions. Plan / Spec Scrubs : Identify gaps, risks, and cost impacts before numbers go out. Vendor / GC Relations : Negotiate distributor / sub pricing; maintain current market pricing. Cost Control / Data : Maintain unit pricing and databases; track commodity / labor trends with Purchasing. Handoff & Support : Lead turnover to field; support buyout, CO pricing, clarifications. Compliance / Docs : Tight documentation; align with NEC and safety standards; site visits as needed. 3+ years electrical estimating (multifamily / commercial / residential). Working knowledge of the NEC ; read one- lines / risers / plans. Tools : Bluebeam , PlanSwift (or similar), plus one of Accubid / ConEst / McCormick / EBM . Strong scope / proposal writing; RFI & change pricing chops. Solid Excel / MS 365 ; organized, deadline-reliable. Valid driver’s license. 3+ years electrical supervisory or PM experience. BS in EE / CM / Business (or equivalent). Experience mentoring junior estimators; leading VE. 401(k) PTO Paid training / pro development Stable backlog.

Role Summary
Own the estimate. Run complete takeoffs, hard bids, and detailed budgets , drive vendor pricing, and deliver accurate, competitive proposals that protect margin. Lead estimate→operations handoffs and value-engineer scopes that win and build.
