Overview
Responsible for general technical support for students, faculty and staff of the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine / Imaging School (1000+ users).
Responsibilities
Responsible for general technical support, to include, but not limited to as much of the following as possible :
- Administers all smart-podiums, troubleshooting all Audio-Visual issues in lecture halls, labs and classrooms.
- Respond to service tickets.
- Performs installation, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of desktop / laptop computers and peripherals
- Administers Print Server and printing management software
- Administers E-Mail listserv for faculty, staff and student body
- Troubleshoots network (wired and wireless) related issues.
- Technical support for Medical Simulation Machines.
- Assists students and instructors with Canvas and clicker issues.
- Assist students with Exam issues
- Troubleshoot Zoom issues.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
Education / Experience
Bachelor of Science preferred.At least 3 years of IT experience.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) requiredCustomer service and team orientated requiredA high degree of interpersonal competency : professionalism, diplomacy, judgement and discretion requiredDemonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues requiredNetworking, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, TCP / IPKnowledge of Windows Workstations / Servers, Linux Servers (preferred) and Mac OSX.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & OutlookBasic understanding of Audio-Visual equipment.Internet researchPhysical Demands
