Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Unit : Operating Room (OR)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00–19 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36

Duration : 26 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 6 / 15 / 2026)

On-Call : 1 night per week and once every 3rd–4th weekend

Weekend / Holiday : Minimum every other weekend; 2 out of 3 major holidays required

Floating : Required (to Ambulatory Surgery Center / ASC as needed)

Orientation : 2 days

Documentation System : EPIC (recent experience required)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2350–$2520

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active New York Registered Nurse license (or proof of application)

BLS certification (AHA required)

Minimum 2 years of recent clinical RN experience

At least 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience

Recent EPIC documentation experience (within past 2 years)

Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred

Reliable personal transportation (public transit not available)

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective perioperative nursing care for patients aged 6 months to 100+ years

Circulate in the Operating Room; scrub as needed based on experience

Float to Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) as scheduled

Participate in on-call rotation and work assigned weekends / holidays

Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team including OR aides, scrub techs, surgical assists, and fellow RNs

Follow strict OR dress code and infection control protocols

Assist with IV starts and patient transports as needed
