Job description

Primary location : USA, with potential oversight of projects in different states in the west coast.

Qualifications and Education

Academic background

  • Preferably a Higher or Technical Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
  • Exceptional candidates without formal academic credentials but with demonstrable relevant experience will be considered.

Professional Experience

5 10 years in fiber optic network deployment, with hands on expertise in :

  • External and internal plant cable laying and ducting.
  • Fiber and micro duct blowing.
  • Splicing and link certification using OTDR and optical power meters.
  • Minimum 2 years in team leadership and subcontractor management within telecommunications projects.
  • Experience liaising with technical departments and clients to monitor and report on project progress.
  • Languages

  • English : Native or C1 professional working proficiency.
  • Spanish : Advantageous but not essential.
  • Project and team management

  • Coordinate human and material resources for large scale roll outs.
  • Manage permit acquisition processes.
  • Act as primary liaison with clients for daily operations and progress meetings.
  • Monitor timelines, budgets, and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
  • Plan and monitor daily cable laying production targets.
  • Manage production costs, travel, accommodation, and logistics for workforce crews.
  • Oversee fiber optic cable installation using blowing, splicing, and jointing techniques.
  • Ensure correct installation, labelling, and protection of fiber at all stages.
  • Prepare technical and economic feasibility studies.
  • Guarantee compliance with national and international safety and technical standards.
  • Perform end to end signal quality testing and operational verification.
  • Produce comprehensive documentation of designs, routes, connections, and test results.
  • Diagnose and resolve network incidents.
  • Deliver technical training to personnel.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of company assets (vehicles, machinery, tools).
  • Client relationship, reporting and Internal coordination

  • Manage the daily interlocution with the client onsite.
  • Elaborate weekly / monthly progress reports for both client and internally.
  • Assistance to the local meetings with the client representing the company.
  • Coordination of internal issues with other departments.
