Aquatic Operations Lifeguard
Position is responsible for routine daily operational tasks related to aquatic operations at assigned park location under the supervision and direction of the pool manager or head lifeguard. Established policies and procedures control actions. Independent judgment is utilized when there are no available policies and procedures and errors in judgment may cause serious risk and significant liability. Incumbent will be required to exercise good judgment in the areas of aquatic safety. Incumbent will be required to make quick, concise, and correct decisions that may affect the health, safety and wellbeing of pool patrons and staff. This position will work under the supervision of the park manager, assistant park manager, pool manager and head lifeguards. Position reports to Pool Manager.

Minimum Job Requirements and Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms. Must be customer service and people oriented. Ability to follow established procedures, policies, and protocol. Licenses / Certifications required or ability to obtain : Lifeguard License required. Water Safety Instructor desired. Candidate must be comfortable working within a diverse organization and have a fluency in and commitment to matters of equity and inclusion.
Preferred Job Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma and / or equivalent preferred.

Working Conditions
Incumbents are assigned to the park location / aquatic facility as a primary work location in a standard aquatic facility environment and outdoors where required. Outdoors in the sun during summer months requires appropriate sun protection by employee. Work hours will include holidays, weekends, and evenings. Will be expected to travel to various locations on occasion for work related activities or training.
