Job Description

Nurse Next Door Coeur d'Alene is seeking a contracted / part-time, experienced Physical Therapist to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, has excellent bedside manner, and is willing to work long hours.

This is an as-needed position with benefits and the opportunity for full-time in the future.

Essential Functions :

Assessment : Physical therapists assess patients' physical conditions, medical histories, and functional limitations. They use various tools and techniques to evaluate mobility, strength, coordination, balance, and flexibility.

Diagnosis : Based on the assessment, physical therapists diagnose movement-related problems and develop personalized treatment plans to address these issues.

Treatment : Physical therapists use a variety of techniques, exercises, and modalities to help patients regain mobility and reduce pain. These may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and more.

Patient Education : Physical therapists educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and strategies for preventing further injuries or limitations. They teach patients exercises and techniques they can use at home to continue their recovery.

Monitoring and Adjustment : Physical therapists continuously monitor their patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. They collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Documentation : Accurate and thorough documentation of patient evaluations, progress, and treatment plans is essential for legal, regulatory, and communication purposes.

Work with a Fun Team :

Physical therapists often work as part of a healthcare team, including other therapists, physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals. Collaborative and supportive teamwork contributes to a positive and engaging work environment.

Care for People :

Providing care and support to patients is a central aspect of a physical therapist's role. They work to improve patients' physical well-being and enhance their ability to perform daily activities.

Flexible Schedule :

This job offers physical therapists flexible work schedules that allow them to balance their professional and personal lives. This flexibility can be particularly valuable for maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Education & Experience :

  • Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university in the state of Coeur d'Alene, ID or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current BLS certification required
  • CPR certification required; must be able to pass a background check and drug screen during pre-employment process
  • Provide proof of personal liability insurance
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision (i.e., schedule flexibility)
  • Ability to work with strong interpersonal skills (i.e., customer service)
  • Computer proficiency required (Word, Excel)
