Responsibilities:

The HVAC technician assistant will assist in the installation of all refrigeration units on any job site where required. They will also be responsible for some in shop repairs of returned or damaged units. Additionally, will help out in other areas of the warehouse as needed.

• Conduct installation, servicing, and repair of food service equipment
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues reported by customers
• Manage and retain proper equipment, parts inventory, and tools on service vehicle while keeping items in a safe condition for the respective level of service
• Participating in preventative maintenance schedules; and performing minor calibrations
• Learn and apply technical knowledge to resolve problems efficiently
• Answer any questions that customers may have about their refrigeration systems
• Observe and test newly installed systems to ensure they work properly
• Providing excellent customer service
• In house assignments as needed

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certification Preferred but not required
• Minimum D-2 CT Heating, Piping and Cooling License
• High School Diploma Required
• Minimum 1-2 years experience
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Good mechanical skills
• Excellent Troubleshooting skills
