Quality Manager
The Quality Manager leads all quality operations at H.B. Fuller's Guadalupe facility, ensuring compliance, product integrity, and customer satisfaction. This role oversees laboratories and technicians, manages the Quality Management System (QMS), and drives continuous improvement from plant commissioning through stabilization. It plays a key leadership role in fostering a strong quality culture across all operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with global standards
- Serve as ISO Management Representative and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, and CTPAT
- Lead internal, customer, and corporate audits and manage corrective actions
- Supervise lab operations and testing for various adhesive technologies
- Oversee analytical testing and ensure adherence to specifications
- Manage validation plans for infrastructure, equipment, and products
- Lead customer complaint investigations and CAPA processes
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve process capability
- Drive continuous improvement and manage pest / environmental hygiene programs
- Lead and develop the Quality team, promoting a proactive quality culture
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management within manufacturing or chemical industriesProven experience leading customer and certification audits (ISO, IATF, CTPAT)Strong knowledge of SAP QA module and document control systemsExperience with lab test methods (viscosity, pH, solids) and validation processesExperience participating in major projectsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsBilingual proficiency in English and SpanishPreferred Requirements
MBA or postgraduate studies in Quality or Process ManagementSix Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)Practical experience with APQP, PPAP, and Core ToolsExperience in greenfield projects or major product introductionsBackground in continuous improvement and regulatory complianceProven ability to build a strong quality culture during start-up phasesH.B.
