Overview
Cook County Health is seeking a Hematology & Oncology physician to join an exceptional team serving patients from across the greater Chicago area. This position has a wide range of responsibilities including in-patient oncology and / or hematology consult services, staffing out-patient care sessions in the sub-specialty clinic, providing direct patient care, and supervising trainees.
The role supports care of patients throughout the Cook County Health (CCH) network through direct care, consultation, or electronic consultation and sets standards to ensure high-quality care to patients with hematology and oncology disorders by educating, assisting, and guiding primary care physicians. The John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital is a 450-bed teaching hospital and serves as Cook County Health’s flagship facility in Chicago, offering a comprehensive range of specialty and sub-specialty care and housing a high-volume Level 1 trauma center.
