Traveling Field Mechanic (Nationwide Travel Required)

Job Description

As a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, and repairing a variety of equipment. This role involves a combination of electrical and mechanical installations and repairs, requiring the ability to install electronic equipment and troubleshoot issues effectively. You will also perform preventative maintenance and inspections on existing equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Pay: $33/hr + $45/day per diem (Lodging/Company Vehicle/ Fuel Card Provided)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment.
• Install and repair both electrical and mechanical components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on existing equipment.
• Install electronic equipment and troubleshoot any issues.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and electrical repair.
• Experience with heavy equipment and mechanical repair.
• Ability to perform electrical installation and mechanical repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Any education or certifications related to the mechanic or maintenance industry is a bonus.

Work Environment

The role is primarily that of a Field Mechanic, requiring nationwide travel. Expect to be on the road for 10-12 weeks at a time, driving a company vehicle. Work hours are primarily during the day but may extend into late afternoons depending on client schedules and availability.

This is a Permanent position based out of Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $71000.00/yr.

Eligible for insurance & benefits after 90 days. Paid weekly. Per diem daily. Company vehicle provided. Lodging and travel costs are covered. PTO accruing. Sign on bonus $3,000. $1,500 paid on week 4 and $1,500 paid at 6 month mark
