Our Client is a precision plastics manufacturer that specializes in CNC-machined components, serving industries like transportation, food processing, and power transmission.

Job Description

Leadership & Strategy :

  • Lead and oversee all daily plant operations to ensure efficient coordination across production, maintenance, and logistics functions. Develop and execute operational strategies that drive performance, efficiency, and sustainable growth in alignment with company objectives.

Team Development & Engagement :

  • Provide strong leadership to supervisors and shift leaders by setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and offering ongoing coaching and support. Motivate and mentor employees at all levels to maximize performance and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment. Build and sustain open communication and strong relationships across all teams.
  • Resource & Process Management :

  • Optimize the use of plant resources-including personnel, equipment, materials, and capital-to enhance productivity and control costs. Ensure operations are aligned with production targets and customer demands while maintaining workflow efficiency.
  • Quality & Compliance :

  • Maintain and continuously improve quality standards across all operations. Ensure adherence to customer specifications, internal standards, and applicable industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Leadership :

  • Partner with plant associates to implement safe work practices and foster a proactive safety culture. Drive engagement in safety and ergonomic programs such as near-miss reporting, OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program, and Behavior-Based Safety. Guarantee compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Continuous Improvement :

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on simplifying supply chains, reducing product costs, eliminating waste, and boosting equipment efficiency. Encourage innovation and best practices across all operational teams.
  • Performance & Financial Management :

  • Develop, manage, and report on plant performance in accordance with the annual budget. Track and analyze key performance indicators related to safety, quality, delivery, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Capital Planning & Equipment Management :

  • Identify both short- and long-term capital equipment needs to support plant growth and operational reliability. Oversee maintenance, emergency repairs, and equipment installations through the facility coordinator to minimize downtime and support continuous production.

    The Successful Applicant

    Experience : Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Extensive industrial leadership experience (10+ years) may substitute for formal education.

    Education : Associate's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Leadership : Proven experience leading multi-functional teams with a demonstrated ability to develop talent, motivate staff, and drive engagement.

    Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills : Strong ability to define challenges, gather and analyze data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions to inform decision-making.

    Technical & Computer Skills : Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret part drawings, understand material properties, and collaborate effectively with technical experts.
