This is a unique opportunity to join our talented team and be part of Primero's growth and success. Primero is an Australian-founded company, established in 2011 and growing consistently in Montreal since 2016. We expanded into Houston in 2022 and Toronto in 2023, strengthening our North American presence. We specialize in the design, procurement, and construction management of mineral processing plants.
Your mission : As a Manager USA, you will be responsible for leading Primero's USA operations, ensuring strong business pipeline, project performance and the development of the USA team. This role will oversee strategic planning, operational management, client engagement, and team leadership, while supporting Primero's growth objectives in the USA market.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide overall leadership and direction for Primero's U.S. operations, including office and project management.
Drive operational excellence, efficiency, and alignment with Primero's global standards.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (including ITAR and export controls where applicable).Oversee successful delivery of all U.S. assigned projects.Business Development & Client RelationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities aligned with Primero's U.S. growth strategy.Represent Primero in the U.S. market, promoting the company's capabilities and values.Develop, manage, and track the U.S. project pipeline.Financial & Strategic ManagementContribute to strategic planning in collaboration with global leadership.
Monitor KPIs to ensure achievement of pipeline, financial, and project targets.People & CultureLead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
Support recruitment, retention, and performance management in partnership with HR.Champion Primero's values, employee engagement, and an inclusive, safe work environment.Desired profile : We are seeking a senior leader with a proven track record in the mining and mineral processing industry who brings both strategic vision and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have :
15-20 years of progressive experience in engineering, project management, and leadership roles.Previous exposure to the mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial EPC / EPCM sector.Strong knowledge of environmental, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in North America.Solid understanding of the commercial aspects of projects, including cost control, budgets, financial outcomes, and P&L accountability.Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary teams.Established ability to build and maintain client relationships and leverage a strong U.S. industry network.A successful track record delivering large-scale projects (from studies through execution and commissioning).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to represent Primero effectively to clients, partners, and stakeholders.Position details :
