Role Title : Police Community Support Officer (PCSO)

Location : Postings are available all across Hampshire

Contract : Permanent

Hours : Full time (37hrs per week) on a shift-based pattern

Starting salary : £26,106 to 28,653 per annum,

plus

additional shift allowance and weekend enhancement payments of around a further £4800 per annum

As a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO), you will work at the heart of the local communities across Hampshire, providing a visible and accessible presence of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary. It is a role with the potential to send you home every day with a tangible feeling of pride, knowing you have made a real difference to the lives of people in our communities. You will be a key part in crime prevention and community support by building partnerships with residents, schools, and other groups.

We are currently looking for PCSOs all over Hampshire, with start dates for new applicants around Autumn 2025.

Qualifications

As our PCSO role is offered as an Apprenticeship, you need to be educated to QCF Level 2 (GCSE at grade A

• C / 9-4 or equivalent) in both English and Mathematics.
• If you have already achieved these qualifications , you will be asked to supply copies of your certificates during the recruitment process. For international qualifications, a Statement of Comparability from ENIC will be required.

If successful, we will support you through your Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths during your first 12 months, alongside your PCSO training.

Salary and Other Benefits

You will start with a salary of £26,106, with potential additional weekend and shift allowances around £4800 per year, payable after initial training.

You will have 24 days of annual leave.

Benefits include :

Within the first 12 months, you will obtain a Level 4 diploma in Community Policing Practice.
