Job description

Immediate opening for part-time prep cook! Come and join our dedicated school community and cook for our day and residential students on our school campus in Chester County. Position is 25 hours a week from 7 : 30 am to 12 : 30 pm, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities include :

  • Prepping and cooking meals for 80+ people daily.
  • Preparing meals from scratch following a menu plan
  • Some meal planning in coordination with Head Chef
  • Accommodating food allergies and special diets
  • Maintaining a hygienic, clean, organized workspace as determined by the guidelines of keeping a commercial kitchen
  • Maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards
  • Oversees food storage; checks labels and dates.

Qualifications :

  • Cooking experience
  • Certification to run a commercial kitchen in Pennsylvania preferred
  • Excellent time management skill
  • Kind personality and temperament
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Reliable transportation
  • High school diploma required.
  • PA State Police, child abuse history clearances, fingerprinting and TB clearance required.
