Job Summary: The General Manager is responsible for direct oversight of the El Cajon location consisting of 35 exempt and 162 non-exempt employees. In this role, you will establish current and long-range objectives, plans, and policies for the location, in addition to running day-to-day operations and guiding general business strategy, while directing the company toward the objective of providing maximum profit and return on invested capital.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the El Cajon, CA location.
Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, business administration, or related field. Ten to fifteen years in a manufacturing environment in a management capacity. A minimum of five years' experience in a high-mix manufacturing environment with direct operational and budgetary responsibility. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Physical Abilities Required:
Must be able to read, write and speak English, individual is required to sit for long periods of time, occasionally required to walk, stoop, use hands to finger (keyboard), talk and hear. In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $185,000-$250,000. Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
