Job Description :

As a Network Planning Analyst at Southwest Airlines, you'll play a key role in shaping our published flight schedules by analyzing data, identifying trends, and recommending strategic revisions that enhance efficiency and reliability. You'll learn to navigate complex operational data, uncover business insights, and present proposals that support both tactical decisions and long-term planning. With creativity, flexibility, and a sharp analytical mindset, you'll contribute to initiatives that keep our network optimized and responsive. Your work directly supports the heartbeat of our daily operation and helps ensure our flights run smoothly and our Customers stay connected. Network Planning has five Analyst opportunities available across four Teams. Explore each Team below to learn how you could contribute to shaping Southwest's flight schedules, driving innovation, and supporting strategic decisions that keep our network running smoothly and competitively.

• Dynamic Schedules : The Dynamic Schedules Team is Southwest's agile response unit for schedule and capacity changes after the schedule is already live for purchase. This Team thrives on uncovering new commercial opportunities that boost revenue and profitability while ensuring our operations remain efficient and reliable. By collaborating across departments, they help Southwest stay ahead of the competition and bring key initiatives to life that support our broader company goals.
• Future Schedules : The Future Schedules Team is the strategic engine behind Southwest's upcoming flight schedules. They analyze network design, forecast demand, and identify revenue-driving opportunities. Working closely with both commercial and operational Stakeholders, they deliver insights that empower Leadership to make smart, data-driven decisions, and they keep our network optimized and our competitive edge sharp.
• Capacity Planning : The Capacity Planning Team ensures that our aircraft and Crew resources are aligned with Passenger demand across the network. They build models and dashboards that evaluate operational and financial impacts, guide resource allocation, and support initiatives that enhance profitability and efficiency. Their work is essential to making sure every seat, route, and Crew Member is positioned for success.
• Research & Development : The Research & Development Team is the innovation hub of Network Planning. They dive deep into data to uncover trends, refine flight schedules, and propose forward-thinking improvements. Their insights fuel strategic decisions that optimize capacity, enhance operational efficiency, and shape the future of Southwest's network.

Pay & Benefits :

Competitive market salary from $78,850 per year to $87,600 per year
