About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Real Estate, Incentives, and Tax Credits Programs. This senior leadership role is pivotal in overseeing the real estate portfolio of tax credits and incentives, leading strategic development projects, and driving various economic development programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing real estate programs that support the state's development projects, from conception to closing, and will be expected to have a strong background in real estate finance and / or development, public policy, urban planning, or a related field. The role involves a high level of collaboration, both within the organization and with external stakeholders, to ensure the delivery of new economic development projects that align with the company's fiscal and policy objectives.
Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of experience in a relevant field, with at least 5 years' in a management position, and a proven track record in economic development and real estate. The role requires in-depth knowledge of real estate development practices, economic development, and planning, as well as an understanding of regulatory and permitting issues. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, be adept at stakeholder collaboration, and demonstrate leadership in team motivation and culture building. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is a plus. The position demands a visionary leader who can drive results, manage high-performing teams, and is committed to innovation and change in the pursuit of sustainable economic growth.
