What does this role look like?

This role will offer you the following daily challenges :

As a Proposal Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex supplier proposals within the Space Business Area of Lockheed Martin. This position will be responsible for the execution and shaping of the Material Cost Estimating (MCE) effort(s) supporting LM Space proposals. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborating with engineering and make / buy part planners in the and pricing of small-to-mid-sized Bills of Material with a mix of types, obtaining price information via historical system data and / or new quotations, supporting system architecture effort(s), and enhancing value through your contributions to the material acquisition strategy. You'll support reviews, fact-finding sessions, and audits LM internal as well as DCAA / DCMA related to the material inputs. The successful candidate will be able to solutions to a variety of complex problems independently or as part of a team and with limited direction or oversight.

Although this position does support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near one of our Lockheed Martin Space facilities in either : Denver, CO, Titusville-Space Coast, FL, King of Prussia / Valley Forge, PA, Rocket City USA : Huntsville / Courtland AL, or Sunnyvale, CA.

To be successful, ideally, you should also have :

Masters degree. Self-motivated, takes initiative Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions Strong analytical skills Detail-oriented; team player Proactive and organized nature Ability to successfully interact with various functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) in obtaining and providing information Willingness to work additional hours as required in support of aggressive proposal schedule Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Experience in or knowledge of : Financial aspects of proposal pricing Material Planning Material Estimating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Indentured Parts List (IPL) FAR 15 Certified Cost or Pricing Data Use of SAP systems / LM Procure to Pay (LMP2P) Ability to support fact-finding exercises as needed to review basis of price / cost trends and of key cost indicators. Ability to review Supplier proposals for Compliance with FAR and LM. Highly critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
