Schedule : 3p-11p.

JOB SUMMARY : To provide the medical staff, nursing services, support staff, patient and customers with an adequate supply of clean / functional linen in a timely manner, and a physical environment that is visibly clean and sanitized.

QUALIFICATIONS :

JOB SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES :

• Daily cleaning of patient rooms, discharge rooms, exam rooms and utility areas
• Performs trash and soiled linen removal and distribution of clean linens through the hospital.
• Cleaning of corridors, stairways, and other areas.
• Sets up meeting rooms for various events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

EXPECTED BEHAVIORS :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Customer Service Fire and Safety Corporate Compliance Confidentiality Infection Control Education required by regulatory, accreditation bodies, scope of practice, and / or Hancock Regional Hospital.

WORK CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS :

EQUIPMENT USED : Cleaning carts, vacuums, battery operated floor scrubbers and push carts. Personal Protective Equipment : face masks, goggles, rubber gloves, protective aprons, and any required per policy and procedure. Intermittent exposure to slippery floors.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS : Occasionally works around blood and body fluids. Exposure to cleaning chemicals, compounds, and fumes / gases possible. Medium dust conditions occasionally.
