Responsibilities Work in a short-term acute care, Magnet, teaching, Level 1 trauma facility Assigned to Med / Surg Tele with floating to all adult acute care, Med / Surg, and Stepdown units Patient ratios range from 1 : 4-6 Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Expected to work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule No on-call required Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience required Mixed patient population from all adult acute care units Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care for acute Med / Surg and telemetry patients and floating to various adult units as needed Required to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays, including the day before and after the holiday Requesting time off (RTO) is limited to 5 days maximum and must be submitted with initial application; no block scheduling allowed Holiday requests are limited to one holiday off per contract Scrub color is hunter green Free employee parking available with badge access Locals are accepted at the same pay rate; no local radius restrictions First-time travelers are not accepted for this role Former employees must wait at least 12 months before returning Requirements Active MI RN license required by start date (no compact licenses accepted) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required At least 2 years Med / Surg Tele experience is preferred Must have travel nurse experience Experience in telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management required High school diploma or equivalent required Epic charting experience required Must be able to float within adult acute care scope Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624575.
