Shift / Hours : Thursday–Saturday & every other Wednesday, 6 : 00 PM–6 : 00 AM

Pay Rate : $34 – $39 / hr

Job Summary :

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the facility’s structure, equipment, and grounds within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role requires strong safety awareness, comfort working around hazardous materials and chemicals, and a working knowledge of multiple trades, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Maintain and repair facility structures, equipment, and building systems.

Perform basic carpentry, painting, and finishing tasks to maintain walls, ceilings, and floors.

Conduct environmental rounds to monitor alarms, temperatures, VOC scrubbers, and filtration systems.

Interface safely with fire protection systems and building energy management systems.

Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on schedule.

Complete documentation, checklists, and system readings with accuracy and consistency.

Prioritize and escalate urgent maintenance issues appropriately.

Support industrial wastewater treatment system operations (as a licensed Grade 1 operator).

Maintain inventories of critical consumables and order supplies for assigned tasks.

Support Emergency Response Team functions and maintain up-to-date training certifications.

Adhere to all safety, PPE, and regulatory requirements within a hazardous materials environment.

Collaborate with supervisors and other staff to ensure reliable facility operations and shift coverage.

Required Experience :

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or industrial environment.

Understanding of critical infrastructure systems and preventive maintenance programs.

Ability to read and execute technical procedures, blueprints, and maintenance requests.

Reliable shift coverage and adherence to safety procedures required.

Required Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Skills :

Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry skills

Energy management and building automation systems (climate control)

Industrial wastewater treatment knowledge (Grade 1 license or ability to obtain)

Preferred Skills :

Hazardous materials handling and safety awareness

OSHA 10 / 30 and / or HAZWOPER 10 / 30 / 40-hour certifications

MA Wastewater license (Our client will sponsor certification if not currently held)

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting

Additional Skills :

Strong safety and emergency response mindset

Industrial facility inspection and equipment calibration

Inventory and consumables management

Ability to wear respirator (SCBA) and handle chemicals safely

Experience with hazardous substances such as gallium, arsenic, chlorine, ammonia, xylene

Licenses / Certifications :

Hazardous Material Training – preferred

MA Wastewater License – preferred or obtainable within first year (employer-sponsored)
