Job Title : Business Development Manager, Managed Transportation

Are you a seasoned logistics sales leader who knows how to command a boardroom, build trust with the C‑suite, and architect large‑scale transportation solutions that transform a shipper’s business? HTL is expanding its Managed Transportation division, and we’re looking for a high‑impact, consultative Sales Executive who thrives at the intersection of strategy, operations, and enterprise‑level relationship building.

What You’ll Do :
- Sell complex logistics solutions to executive decision‑makers , presenting confidently and credibly in high‑stakes environments.
- Identify, pursue, and close large managed‑transportation opportunities , leveraging HTL’s robust operational and technology capabilities.
- Partner closely with our Director of Managed Transportation and internal leaders to translate customer pain points into tailored 4PL / MT solutions.
- Own the enterprise sales cycle —from prospecting and discovery to solution design, pricing, proposal delivery, and contractual negotiation.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to shippers , bringing deep industry knowledge, benchmarking insights, and long‑term planning support.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Carrier Sales, Account Management, Finance, and Technology to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing performance.
- Drive revenue growth by expanding existing accounts and identifying additional managed‑service opportunities within our customer base.
Who You Are :
Speak fluently about logistics, procurement, KPIs, carrier strategy, and freight networks.Diagnose complex supply‑chain challenges and articulate high‑value, data‑driven solutions.Build relationships at the C‑suite level.Present with authority, clarity, and confidence.Navigate long sales cycles—and consistently close them.Thrive in a high‑growth, entrepreneurial environment where innovation and speed matter.Bring the discipline, drive, and business maturity to operate as the face of a flagship offering.What You Bring :
7+ years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain sales experience; MT / 4PL sales strongly preferred.A proven track record of closing mid‑market to enterprise‑level deals.Strong understanding of TMS workflows, procurement, routing, mode selection, and network optimization.Confidence presenting to executives and walking them through solution design and ROI.Consultative selling skills combined with the hunger to win.High EQ, strong communication skills, and the professionalism needed to represent HTL Freight in major markets.Ability to collaborate with operations leaders who support implementation, onboarding, SOP development, and ongoing execution.Why HTL Freight
