• Career development opportunities within UHS and its Subsidiaries\n\nJob Overview : \n\nThe primary responsibility is to facilitate the process of admission and discharge of patients into and out of the hospital in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with the patients diagnosis, goals of the physician and hospital.\n\nGeneral Responsibilities : \n
• Works in concert with the House supervisor (bed placement), Case Management, Nursing Leadership, physician and multiple nursing units and ancillary services.\n
• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.\n
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.\n
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.\n
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.\n
• Other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\n
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.\n
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.\n
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License\n
• Prefer one year, full-time or 3 years, part-time experience in acute care setting.\n
• Additional certifications required at start date or intrafacility transfer : \n
• All Nursing Units (except nursery) : ACLS as of start date (New graduate RN's wtihin 90 days of start date)\n
• Women's Center : NRP as of start date (inexperienced L&D nurses within 90 days of start date)\n
• ICU / PCU : NIH within 90 days of start date.\n
• ER : PALS, CPI within 90 days of start date, NIH within 90 days of start date.\n
