Speech Therapist - Skilled Nursing Facility

Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders.
- Provide therapy sessions to improve residents’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Monitor and document residents’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including nurses, physicians, and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care.
- Educate residents and their families about communication strategies and swallowing safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.Knowledge of relevant regulations and documentation standards.Join our dedicated team and contribute to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
