Description : Position : Bartender

Location : Belles Beach House – Venice Beach, CA

Compensation : $17.28 / hr + Tips

Employment Type : Part-Time or Full-Time

About the Role :

Belles Beach House is looking for an experienced, energetic, and service-focused Bartender to join our front-of-house team. As a bartender, you’ll play a key role in delivering a vibrant and memorable guest experience by preparing high-quality beverages and providing top-tier hospitality in a dynamic, high-volume beachside setting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and serve all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and team members with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Deliver full-service hospitality by taking guest orders, making menu suggestions, and anticipating guest needs.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and fully stocked bar area throughout service.
  • Engage with guests in a warm and courteous manner to create a welcoming and upbeat bar atmosphere.
  • Accurately enter all orders into the POS system and process payment transactions properly.
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side-work duties as directed, including bar setup and breakdown.
  • Stay knowledgeable about all menu items, daily specials, and any dietary / allergy considerations.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Report any maintenance issues, breakage, or incidents to management immediately.

Requirements :

  • 1–2 years of previous bartending experience in a high-volume bar, restaurant, or lounge
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification and valid Food Handler's Certificate (required or must be obtained upon hire).
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain focus and professionalism during high-volume shifts.
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
