Areas of Responsibility - The Service / Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following areas :
Apartment Reconditioning
The Service / Maintenance Technician inspects vacated apartments and informs supervisor of needed services and repairsReports supply needs to supervisorSite & Safety Maintenance
Responds to service requests and maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, interior / exterior paintingAdheres to safety & maintenance standards established for equipment operations, fire safety, and the management of hazardous materialsManagement Accountabilities
Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, and appropriate government laws and regulations pertaining to employers and apartmentsFully supports the goals and principles of federal and state fair housing lawsThe above is a brief outline of job duties for the Service / Maintenance Technician, and is not intended to be all-inclusive.
The ideal Service / Maintenance Technician candidate will possess the following qualities :
At least one (1) year' experience in property maintenance or equivalentAvailable to work full-time Monday-Friday, occasional weekends and on-call emergenciesSkilled in the safe use of tools & equipment used for general maintenance and repairs in a multi-family housing communityCertified in HVAC Systems and experienced in interior and exterior painting a plusGood reading and oral communication skillsAble to reason, analyze information and events and apply judgement to solve problemsAbility to work outdoors, in all conditions, often for extended periods of timeTeam playerPI2a71d27da13c-31181-38712489
