Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Global Network Tech - Java Backend with Vert.x opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

Location : Phoenix, AZ

Duration : Ongoing contract

Duties :

Design, develop, and maintain backend Java applications using Vert.x.

Implement and optimize REST APIs with high performance and scalability.

Apply multi-threading and reactive programming techniques (RX) to enhance system responsiveness.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud, DevOps, and system scaling initiatives.

Follow best practices in software design patterns, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting of complex backend systems.

Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and team knowledge.

Skills :

Advanced Java programming with 6+ years of backend development experience.

Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, RX, and multi-threading.

Proficient in Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.

Solid understanding of design patterns and application architecture.

Knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and scalable system design.

Experience with AMEX systems and standards is highly preferred.

Experience :

Minimum of 6 years in backend Java development, with demonstrable project experience.

Proven ability to implement high-performance, scalable backend solutions in a collaborative environment.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
