Description
The Health, Safety, Environmental and Training Supervisor will be responsible provide guidance on MA health, safety, security, and training policies and SOPs in addition to any legislation as may be set by the relevant Country of operation. Ensure through definitive methods that product meets or exceeds quality standards set forth; ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, contributing to an efficient operation, while projecting a professional image for Menzies Aviation.

Key Responsibilities
Implement applicable Menzies Aviation Policies and ProceduresProvide timely regional management reports, weekly and monthly as requiredOversee training activities in the stationWith the General Manager, plan and coordinate the implementation of safety and security priorities within the station to achieve consistent standardsWith the training team, take a proactive approach in addressing local training implementationAdhere to Menzies training policies as defined in the company Learning Development PolicyAssist Manager with driving corporate safety and security programsProvide guidance and support to operational management on matters of safety and securityThrough a process of hazard identification and risk control, develop policy and proceduresProactively promote a ‘safety first’ cultureSupport the field operation to introduce safe and secure working procedures and proactively audit daily inspections and audits programEstablish and support Health and Safety CommitteeAccident and incident reporting and investigationPrepare for and take part in audits conducted by airlines and regulatory agenciesTake the lead in regulatory compliance review, including Hazardous Materials permits and handling, air permit and regulation compliance, water permit and regulation compliance, prepare and submit accurate records to regulatory agenciesManage, maintain and coordinate underground storage tank regulatory compliance, including annual submittals and inspectionsLiaise with the Airport Environmental team to coordinate training and inspections required for complianceManage hazardous waste manifests and coordinate pickup within regulatory guidelinesPrepare and manage OSHA 300 logs / injury reports and EPA Tier II chemical inventory reportsMaintain GHS and hazard communication information for all employeesPrepare and manage annual storm- and waste-water reportsPrepare and conduct Emergency Facility Response and confined space rescue training drillsDevelop, review, evaluate site specific EHS training proceduresInvestigate all hazards and risks across the operations and implement corrective actions to eliminate or mitigate risks through industry standards or engineering controls.Tracking, measuring, analyzing EHS performances and implementing corrective / preventative actionsFacilitate the distribution of network safety and security alerts on a knowledge-sharing basis to increase awarenessReport any significant deficiency in our products, processes, materials and / or documentsSuggest any improvements to working practices especially those relating to safety and securityConduct the duties of an auditor, as described in the Quality Assurance Manual, as requiredAssist with Operational Manuals to remain currentOther duties as assignedQualifications
Must be 18 years of ageMust possess and maintain valid US driver’s licenseMust pass all pre-employment testing including a physical, color vision test, audio test, and drug testAbility to proficiently read, write and speak EnglishHandle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbsAbility to perform basic math calculationsMust pass background check and obtain US Custom seal as requiredMust be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidaysMust be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges / sealsMust have high school diploma, GED or six months experience as an Operations AgentExcellent communication skillsAbility to remain calm and efficient under pressureCompetent in handling difficult situationsAdvanced Computer SkillsPrior Airline or Compliance experience requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
