This position is for an extremely busy Cardiac ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY office in Davie, FL.
Candidates should have a keen interest in Cardiology and want to gain clinical experience in cardiac electrophysiology management from a prominent Electrophysiologist.
MUST BE PROFICIENT WITH ECLINICAL WORKSPosition Hours :
Tues-Wed-Thurs (P / T), or 8 : 30 am-5 : 00 pm Monday-Friday (FT)
Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Registered / Certified Medical Assistant , in a medical office setting :
You have completed an accredited medical assisting (MA) programYou have passed the MA certification examYou have obtained a Medical Assistant Florida state licenseResponsibilities :
Front and Back office dutiesKnowledge of aseptic technique : Position may require surgical assisting for minor proceduresScreening and consenting research study patientsConsenting patients for remote monitoring of pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recordersPerform EKG'sHook up and / or order HOLTER / CEM / MCOT heart monitorsObtain vitalsRefill prescriptionsObtaining / maintaining patient medical recordsKnowledge / implementation of HIPAA complianceUpdating patient filesPrepare charts for patient appointments, (proper documentation will include, procedures performed, medical history, medications, allergies, medication reconciliation, etc.)Insurance verification, obtaining referrals / authorizations for appointments, cardiac monitors, and RXsCheck-in / Check-out patientsAppointment schedulingAnswering multi-line phone system, helping patients with cardiac medical questionsProficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word & ExcelKnowledge of medical terminology (esp. cardiology)Ability to manage HIPPA and OSHA documentation.Other duties and responsibilities as assignedPhlebotomy skills a plusCandidate should possess these qualities :

Job Types : Part-time (25 to 35-hours), (may consider full-time, 40-hours / week for qualified professionals)
Compensation : $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
