Position Summary

VMG is looking for a Preconstruction Manager who is ready to lead the estimating process, driving competitive bids, and rolling directly into project execution. This role is not just about handing off the work; it's about owning it from day one through delivery. You'll partner with our operations team to ensure projects are set up for success, while keeping your hands on the details that matter.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction process from conceptual budgets to final GMP.
• Prepare, review, and deliver accurate and competitive estimates and bids.
• Partner with operations to transition projects seamlessly from preconstruction into construction.
• Actively engage with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to develop strong relationships and competitive pricing strategies.
• Manage design-build and design-assist pursuits, working closely with engineers and consultants.
• Track and analyze project costs to ensure accurate forecasting and lessons learned for future bids.
• Stay actively involved during construction - maintaining visibility and accountability for scope, budget, and execution.
