District Sales Representative
The Refrigeration Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory for the Commercial Refrigeration Division. 1 role will be covering the New England states, New York City, and New Jersey. The other role will be covering the South Florida area. Both roles will require you to reside in one of these states and be open to 50%+ travel.
Responsibilities
- Engage with refrigeration wholesale customers, OEMs, contractors, specifying engineers, and prospective customers to drive sales through wholesale channels.
- Collaborate with Division Sales, Business Development, and National Account Managers to meet customer requirements and manage territory accounts.
- Work with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to present a unified company image and identify new sales opportunities.
- Communicate company positions on pricing, product, and channel strategies.
- Serve as the primary communication link between customers and the company.
- Collaborate with the Transaction department to resolve disputes and reduce transaction costs.
- Communicate the company's stance on competitive products, quality, sales tactics, and pricing.
- Meet with customers to assess buying intentions and develop sales forecasts to meet predefined objectives.
- Develop an annual Territory Sales Plan to grow new and existing accounts.
- Use sales and marketing strategies to identify and pursue new accounts.
- Establish and maintain consultative selling relationships with customers.
- Build long-term customer relationships and retention strategies.
- Develop expense budgets to support sales objectives.
- Collaborate with customers to execute promotional, advertising, and merchandising plans.
- Create and execute a long-term account maintenance plan with specific call objectives and servicing dates.
- Take ownership of personal training and career development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.7+ years of experience in customer calls / direct sales in commercial refrigeration.Experience with two-step distribution.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong communication, presentation, mathematical (ability to calculate discounts, interests, commissions, and percentages), analytical, and reasoning skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.Ability to create demand for and sell Rheem Heat Transfer Products Group refrigeration equipment while maintaining strong customer relations.Willingness to travel extensively and reside in or relocate to the account zone.Ability to work well in a team environment.Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in a related field.Experience in a similar role within a related industry.
